Staff Asthma Training Session Request Form

Supported by funding from the Australian Government, Asthma Australia provides free asthma first aid training for staff in school and preschool settings. It is the recommendation of Asthma Australia that all education site staff, teaching and non-teaching, attend asthma first aid training sessions. The national package for education sites takes 1 hour.

Terms & Conditions 1. This form is a request only. Every effort will be made to accommodate your preferences however we cannot guarantee a trainer will be available on your preferred date. 2. Please note as training for schools is provided externally there may be a 2 – 4 week wait to confirm your training session. 3. The Asthma Foundation of Victoria reserves the right to recover costs for cancellations of less than 2 working days notice. If a school cancels their scheduled training session with less than two working days notice, the school will incur a fee of $60.00.

Asthma Child and Adolescent Program

The Asthma Child and Adolescent Program

As part of the Australian Government’s national Asthma Management Program Asthma Australia have been funded to deliver a program to support Australian school students with asthma and linked chronic respiratory conditions.

The Asthma Child and Adolescent Program provides information and training for school and preschool staff to learn about asthma management and how to respond in an emergency. This program also provides information for parents and carers and support adolescents to improve their asthma self-management.

School Staff Education session

As part of the Asthma Child and Adolescent Program (ACAP), the Asthma Foundation of Victoria offers a FREE staff education session to all Victorian Schools. This is a one hour session and can be held in your school at your convenience.

To organise a staff asthma education session in your school, please complete the online form at the top of this page or download the education session request form (PDF, 362kb) and fax to (03) 9326 7055.

Preschool Staff Education Session

The Asthma Foundation of Victoria also offers FREE staff asthma education sessions to all Victorian preschools (funded 4 year old programs). This is a one-hour session that will be held at central locations throughout Victoria or at your Service if there is a minimum of 5 staff attending.
