Time to get a Wiggle on

Posted: January 19, 2012
As well as ensuring your child is well prepared to return to school regarding their asthma, it is also time to make sure your child is prepared regarding any allergies or anaphylaxis that they may have. We know that there is a strong link between asthma, allergies and anaphylaxis. You can get your school or children’s service asthma action plan on our website at http://bit.ly/w9ZH8i and your allergy or anaphylaxis action plans from ASCIA at http://bit.ly/2m4NJ6

WITH parents preparing to send children back to school, Blue Wiggle Anthony Field has been recruited to raise awareness of anaphylaxis – extreme allergic reaction to food.
With Mr Field’s son Antonio at high risk of anaphylaxis, he is urging affected families to work on an Allergy Healthcare Plan with their schools and preschools.

He said being aware of allergies was an important part of back-to-school preparation.

According to President of Anaphylaxis Australia Maria Said, having an open dialogue with teachers and career about severe allergies was an important first step before the school year started.
