Limited opportunities for planned burning

Posted: April 30, 2012

There are opportunities for planned burns to be conducted in some areas until tomorrow, particularly around Murrindindi, Bairnsdale, Heyfield, the Midlands, the Wimmera and the Mallee.

From tomorrow evening, rainfall in the south west is expected to progress eastwards and is likely to continue over most of the state until early next week. However, limited opportunities for burning may emerge in the west and parts of the Mallee.
