There are likely to be some opportunities for planned burning early this week in areas where the fuel is dry enough to burn.
In particular, significant burning opportunities are likely in Victoria’s south west on Tuesday and Wednesday, which may include planned burns close to communities.
Burning opportunities will be limited later in the week. Strong winds are forecast for Wednesday night and Thursday in the west and central areas, followed by cooler temperatures and possible showers moving across the state on Friday and over the weekend. DSE is monitoring fuel conditions across the rest of the state to take advantage of planned burning opportunities as they arise.
