Limited Planned Burning Opportunities Early This Week

Posted: October 15, 2012

There are limited opportunities for planned burning early this week following the substantial rain of last week.

From Wednesday, some good burning opportunities will be taken. Conditions are predicted to be particularly good in the South West where they have scheduled several planned burns.

DSE is monitoring fuel conditions across the rest of the state. It is expected that heap burns and other small burns will continue across the state where opportunities arise.

*Note: This report is only valid on the date of issue. It contains general information which can change without notice according to conditions and changing weather forecasts.

This report covers burns on public land only – landholders may also be completing planned burns on private property.

For queries regarding planned burns, contact the Victorian Bushfire Information Line (VBIL) on freecall 1800 240 667.
