There are likely to be opportunities for planned burning early this week, particularly in Victoria’s north west. Strong winds followed by rain will limit opportunities across the state later in the week.
Planned burning may be carried out tomorrow and Wednesday around Bendigo, Rushworth, Maryborough, Heathcote, Talbot and in the Mallee.
Conditions may also be suitable for small burns in outer Melbourne areas.
Planned burning may also be possible around Swifts Creek in Gippsland at the end of the week, dependant on weather.
DSE is monitoring fuel conditions and forecast weather across the state to take advantage of planned burning opportunities as they arise.
*Note: This report is only valid on the date of issue. It contains general information which can change without notice according to conditions and changing weather forecasts.
This report covers burns on public land only – landholders may also be completing planned burns on private property.
