Issued Monday 29 October, 2012
There are good opportunities for planned burning early this week, particularly in Victoria's west.
A number of burns are likely to be carried out in the Upper Wimmera, the Pyrenees region and in the Brisbane Ranges through to Daylesford. Smaller burns may also be carried out in eastern metropolitan Melbourne and East
Gippsland.
A cool change is likely to limit opportunities on Wednesday and Thursday, but there may be further opportunities for planned burning from Friday as the weather becomes more stable.
DSE is monitoring fuel conditions and forecast weather across the state to take advantage of planned burning opportunities as they arise.
